Kind of :P
the one with the cloud it says: I greeted the weather.
And in the one with the bird it's just words: forest, smiled, life, wings, the ocean, self, humans, lively, the road, he travelled home.

Oh this is so beautiful! *_*
Really, it's brilliant!
What book is that?Posted 1 year ago # -
Thank you so much!
And it's from two old books I found at a second-hand store. I always go there to find old books and pictures to make stuff with.
But the books are:
I Dagens Glød
by Ellen Gøtzcheand
De Tre Venner
by
Gustav Frenssen..yeah I have no idea x)
I just got them because the texture and stains on the paper were so lovely, and the covers were really nice.Posted 1 year ago # -
Ahahah seems like it was a great idea to buy them (;

I don't know if we can even call photography art these days, but I thought this was rad. Here's Seljalandsfoss from my trip last summer.

Mike, this should totally be the cover for the Sigur Ros live DVD! Super rad.
Here's a slightly less dramatic picture from a taro field I took in Hanalei,
inspired by your Keith Loutit post!:

@Llywelyn
Hey man great shot!!..........is that tilt shifted?
Posted 1 year ago # -
@Mike Kelly.
Ive said it before, I'll say it again.....You have got a REALLY FUCKING GREAT EYE, man.
As for whether photography can be called art, of course it can. I mean you ha ve an artists eye, so it should be self-evident. I still really dig your couple of stunning beach shots you posted a week or so ago. Seriously man, love ALL your shots.
Do you happen to have a Flickr or Photobucket page you'd care to share?

Haha thanks! You're making me blush over here, lol. I did minor in art at my university, and I miss it terribly, but I think that the education has really helped my composition and 'eye' if you will.
My website is http://www.mpkelley.com and my fickr photostream is http://www.flickr.com/michaelpkelley
Add me on there if you have it!
And yeah Llywelyn, that's an awesome shot - do you own a TS lens?
Posted 1 year ago # -
Grazias @Sodium & @mikekelley! Alas, no actual lens Mike, but I was so stoked about that Loutit movie you put up a couple of days ago, I thought I'd try to emulate the effect using photoshop. You've probably seen similar ones, but here's the tutorial I found:

That movie was freakin' rad wasn't it? Really inspiring, I'd love to get some time-lapse equipment.

@Cecillian Thanks /blush

Took this a couple of hours ago while hanging on my balcony. Mike's inspired me to actually read the manual on my camera and try to learn to take real pics for my upcoming Iceland trip.

Attaway! I am really glad I take my cameras with me when I travel - I love looking back through and reliving, and good photos make it way more fun.

I always am snapping photos, I jut got lazy and I've had this DSLR for a while so it's time to learn how to use it, I'm afraid the point and clicks left me a little stunted in the knowledge department.

Llywelyn, wow that was beautiful!! Nice motive, and the way you shot it was pretty original. EYEJIZZ <3

Hey artsy folks, I'm writing a zine (little but pretty magazine) with a few buddies for university and we are looking for submissions. There is a loose theme of 'identity' to explore and I would love to include some art from you guys if anyone is interested!? Will be happy to send a published copy when it's done!! Send me a line at lorin.elizabeth@hotmail.com if you would like to know more! :) Thanks so much. x (p.s. you're all so great!)
