I've transcribed two songs (so far):
Hengilas: http://www.mediafire.com/?w5zy69lvv34tfb6
This is pretty easy for a beginning pianist - just watch your clefs. As notated, everything is transposed down an octave, which means you're playing in a quite low part of the keyboard. (It enables you to get a nice rich sound that best mimics the actual recording.) Unless you want to go look up the Icelandic pronunciation yourself, here's a passable approximation:
(Unless specially altered with an added “h,” vowels are always pure: A = “ah” E = “eh” I = “ee” O = “oh” U = “ooh”)
O vihth harums ti okunn auyu
Saamt hövum thekks tattla tith
Oondir vökulum augnarau thumliehtumst
Stöndum nu tvistiga
Reyni a grafaup o hyartasku o run
Reyni a bryotastihnn
Reyni a bora au, o sayaengilausihnn
En alltkemur firire kinaytt
Komihnn i nizurlot
Vayt ehkki quath plan skil taka
Komihnn i rauthathrot
Reyni a grafaup o hyartasku o run
Reyni a bryotastihnn
Reyni a bora au, o sayaengeelausihnn
Time to Pretend (Jonsi's cover of MGMT): http://www.mediafire.com/?615va12cr03kxc6
Parts of this are pretty easy, but the rhythms can be tricky, so hopefully you know your 2 vs. 3. Also, the left hand does some acrobatics at a couple points. Some of the right hand is approximated, simply because the quality of the recording made it impossible for me to hear it. (And yes, there is one made-up word, because I have no idea what he is saying.)
I also have a version of Time to Pretend transposed up from D to F - it's in a slightly better place for women's voices, but is also a little easier to play just because of where the notes are located.
